Arcus, a decentralized exchange (DEX) developed by the dYdX team and backed by Robinhood Crypto, launched tokenized stocks and perpetual futures on Robinhood Chain on July 1, 2026. This new offering enables users to trade tokenized equities around the clock, unlike traditional trading hours. Arcus features over 95 stock tokens and perpetual markets, utilizing Paxos-issued stablecoin USDG as its primary collateral and settlement asset.
The available stock tokens include shares from major US companies such as Nvidia, Tesla, Apple, Microsoft, Meta, Google, and Amazon. Users can connect existing self-custodial wallets, including MetaMask, Ledger, and WalletConnect, to access the platform. However, stock tokens are not available in the US, Canada, the UK, and other restricted jurisdictions due to ongoing regulatory issues concerning tokenized securities.
Perpetual markets, which cover 35 real-world asset markets, are currently in a waitlist phase. Eddie Zhang serves as the chief executive of Arcus, while Antonio Juliano is set to join its board. dYdX currently holds $92.4 million in total value locked.
A future Arcus token is planned, with priority allocation for individuals who have traded, staked, or validated on dYdX, although a specific launch date for this token has not been announced.
