BOGX’s Web3 promise broken? Ex-CMO spills

Web3 dreams can die hard, just ask the former marketing chief at Blade of God X (BOGX), who claims the crypto-funded game ditched its blockchain promises. Amber Bella, BOGX’s ex-CMO, publicly stated on April 1 that the game “completely abandoned” its Web3 roadmap and the team dedicated to its blockchain features, despite initial funding from the crypto community.

According to Bella’s X post, the shift away from Web3 not only meant the project’s initial vision was scrapped, but also that the team working on these features faced financial repercussions. “Web3 was completely abandoned, and my Web3 team’s salaries went from delayed payments to no payments at all,” Bella stated.

Bella further alleges that instead of addressing concerns or compensating NFT buyers, BOGX founder Tnise Liu Yang reportedly cut off communication with her entirely. Adding another layer to the accusations, Bella claimed the game’s Web2 team allegedly misused player rewards. She stated that the Web3 team discovered the Web2 side was using their own accounts to improperly claim cash prizes intended for players.
