Gutter Cat Gang’s much-anticipated GANG token launch on ApeChain turned into more of a whimper than a roar on March 31, thanks to what the NFT project called “technical issues.” While the GCG team pointed fingers at a third-party glitch for the no-show, whispers of lukewarm interest in the token also surfaced.
Despite initial plans for a March 31st debut on ApeChain, GCG admitted in a Discord post that zero GANG tokens made it into circulation. The project’s chief architect, known as “Yugen,” broke the bad news on Discord, citing a contract snag that blocked “100% liquidity claim day 1.” According to Yugen, this hiccup effectively prevents anyone from easily buying or selling the token right out of the gate.
