TRON’s network has surpassed $90 billion in USDT on the platform, alongside crypto card volumes exceeding $887 million in the second quarter of 2026, according to reports from CoinDesk and CryptoQuant.
CoinDesk’s report highlights that TRON’s share of total stablecoin market capitalization rose to 28.7% from 27.3% in March. The amount of USDT on the network reached an all-time high of just over $89 billion during Q2, accounting for 47% of total USDT dominance. Daily active users on TRON averaged 3.5 million in Q2, an increase from 3.2 million in the previous quarter.
Approximately 93% of TRON’s stablecoin transfer volume was peer-to-peer as of June 30, the highest percentage among tracked chains. The crypto payment card volume also saw growth, increasing from $2.0 billion in Q1 to $2.4 billion in Q2. TRON’s share of this crypto card volume rose to 34%, totaling about $887 million.
CryptoQuant’s report indicates that TRON is evolving beyond peer-to-peer transactions, becoming an infrastructure layer for apps, businesses, and the agentic economy. The report details a growing adoption of fee-abstracted transaction infrastructure and cross-chain liquidity routing.
GasFree, an initiative on TRON allowing users to transfer USDT without holding TRX for gas fees, reported a weekly transfer volume of $2.9 billion by late June, up from $1.9 billion in 2025. The model maintains affordability, with an average fee of $1.5 on a $16.3K average transfer.
